Biotix robotic tips are manufactured with X-resin, the highest clarity resin that is naturally low retention. It allows for easy sample visualization, an ultra smooth surface and nearly eliminates fluid retention for the best precision and accuracy in fluid dispensing. Biotix Blade Technology minimizes surface area at the distal end orifice of the tip, increasing dispense precision and preventing droplets from forming based on laminar flow principles. The anti-microbial resin actively protects tips from airborne contamination even after the product has been opened.
These tips are also manufactured with the patent pending technology Statix, that works to prevent and remove static build-up. Statix consists of a copper grounding tab, conductive pillow and a conductive snap card. By touching the copper tab a grounded circuit is created to remove static. The conductive pillow immobilizes the tips in the tray. Every lot of product is certified to be free of the contaminants RNAse, DNase, Pyrogens, Endotoxin, Nucleic Acids and Trace Metals. CV data is printed on each pack of product and each tray is labeled with a barcode, part number and serial number, making it easy to track products throughout the lab.
